Biography[]
Santiago Cabrera was born in Venezuela, son to a Chilean diplomat. Over the years he lived in England,Romania Canada and Spain. Cabrera started his acting career after the support of his drama teacher in high school, and spent three years at the Drama Centre London, where he participated in various productions. After his television debut in the British television series Battlefield Britain, Cabrera starred in the 2006 film Love and Other Disasters and played the role of Octavious in the 2005 mini-series Empire.
Cabrera is best known for his portrayal of Isaac Mendez, a drug-addicted artist who can paint the future on the first season of Heroes. His character was killed in the first season's 19th episode, ".07%", and returned in an archived footage in season four's seventh episode "Once Upon a Time in Texas". In 2008 he portrayed Camilo Cienfuegos in Che and appeared as Lancelot in the three seasons of Merlin.
