The secret control room is located in Alcatraz's secret tunnels beneath the lighthouse. It is accessed by using the Warden's three keys on a large, metal door.
Inside the room are large consoles of old computers and a map of the continental United States. On the map are small electronic lights with inmate numbers printed on each one. These lights are apparently used to locate the inmates who "jumped" from 1963 by tracking the colloidal silver in their blood. However, it is unknown whether the tracking system is functional in 2012.
Known visitors to this room in the 1960's are Warden Edwin James , Tommy Madsen , Harlan Simmons Cal Sweeney , and Mr. K who was Warden James' cohort in the secret project.
Known visitors in 2012 include Emerson Hauser and Lucy Banerjee , who find the doctor from the 1960's lying on the floor disoriented. When the doctor asks Emerson and Lucy what year it is and they reply that it is 2012, the doctor begins laughing.
Sometime between the years of 1963 and 2012, a brick wall was built over the large, metal door leading to the secret control room. Exactly when this happened, by whom, and for what purpose is unknown at this time.

Upon seeing the US map with the electric bulbs spread around it, Lucy remarks that inmate identification numbers are printed on them. The only clear view of any individual numbers is of the San Francisco-Oakland-Sacramento area of California. The numbers identified on the map are as follows:
